Carlson Vineyards is a small, family-owned winery located in the high desert of western Colorado. Since its beginnings in 1988, Carlson has found pride in overcoming the harsh climate to produce approachable, quality wines. We are known for making easy-drinking regional wines that have earned hundreds of awards locally, nationally, and internationally, including double golds, best-of fests, and the international World Cup Riesling Award.

Over the years, we have given time and resources to benefit our community and to help the Colorado wine scene mature. We’ve served on boards of CAVE (Colorado Association of Vintners and Enologists – formerly RMAVV), Colorado Mountain Winefest, Child and Migrant Services, and Mesa Land Trust, as well as the Colorado Wine Industry Development Board. We have mentored many wineries during their start-ups. Today there are more than 150 wineries and tasting rooms in Colorado, and we're proud to be among the longest-running few.

While we enjoy the recognition of the medals and ribbons dangling on wine bottles displayed in our tasting room, we think your opinion is just as important. We believe that wine should be enjoyed often, with great food and good friends.
