Winery expansion underwayThe new building addition is 2000 sq ft which doubles the current production area to 4000 sq feet. The new expansion will allow Carlson Vineyards to spread out tanks to make the area safer to work in as well as make room for three new 4300 gallon tanks. The new tanks will allow production to increase to 13,000 cases a year.
The winery will be purchasing other new equipment as well to increase efficiency. The project budget is $300,000.
The winery expansion is good economic news in the Grand Junction - Palisade community. Sez Parker, "And if the wine business "tanks" we can always knock out one wall and start Palisade's first bowling alley or roller derby arena."
